Wash Day

10:40:00

Even though I don’t post every wash day, I definitely wash my hair every week. Last week, I had on a simple bun because I didn’t feel like doing anything extra to my hair. This week, I took it up a notch with my favourite new style: Bantu Knots.

-I detangled pre-pooed overnight with Mega growth Daily Leave in Strengther and Olive Oil,

-Deep Conditioned with Growth Renew Root Rebound Deep Conditioner for 1 ½ hours,

-Co Washed with Vo5 Repair and Protect Strengthening Conditioner,

-Protein Treatment: I did my first protein treatment by mixing 1 egg and 3 caps of olive oil together. I left it in for only 2 minutes because I could already feel my hair getting stronger. So I washed it out and conditioned again.

-Tea Rinse: I did it a little differently this time, I opened up the tea bags and poured the content into a bowl of hot water for 10 minutes and sieved out the black tea leaves. I let it cool and then used it as a final rinse and left it in.

-Leave ins: I applied Mega growth Daily leave in, Fantasia Olive oil Moisturising serum, and Olive oil.

After the ordeal, I didn’t know what to do to my hair. I kept going back and forth with roller setting, bantu knots, or a bun. By the time I settled on bantu knots, my hair was already dry so forgive me for my not-so-stretched roots. I had to dampen the hair again in order to make sure the bantu knots were set properly.

The next day, I took down the bantu knots, sprayed a little Silk Restoration Shine spray on my hair and on my hands before separating to prevent frizz. I put my hair up to prevent my ends from rubbing on my clothes.

Whew! Enough chit-chat, here are the results:

There is always that one bantu knot that comes out a little...wonky, but well, it still looks great! I definitely love me some bantu knots, even though I’m not looking forward to detangling.
